It had been a short time since Emu had arrived in this strange world, serving under a god of light. Much of it still confused him, and it took a few days for him to realize he wasn't working alone. There were areas the Heralds of Light frequented more often, and it was there that Emu had a feeling. He knew he had to gather with other Heralds there.
It almost felt like fate.
"I guess I can't change my own fate, after all..."
He looked down at the Gashat in his hand. Mighty Action X, the ally that hadn't failed him yet. But he still felt foreign to this world, and very much alone. His days had been spent initially in convincing himself it was a dream, or a mistake of a game world he'd been sucked into. But several days passed, and he knew it was real. The god of light had spoken to him, telling him to serve as a Herald, and he felt the obligation to do so. When he found the world portals, though, there was none for his home. Versions of Tokyo, yes, but none had his hospital, or his allies. He was truly alone in this.
With a sigh, he pocketed the Gashat, and sat on a nearby bench, lying his head back as he looked up at the sky. That gut feeling had led him here, so it had to mean something, right? Doctors worked well off instinct, and he had learned to trust his gut in his training, and operations on the patients put before him. Still, something was missing. Others.
"All this senseless sitting around... Why can't anything happen?"
