GENERAL RULES
001. As this is a roleplaying forum, we ask that your OOC and IC be kept separate. Speaking as yourself should be used in out of character chats only, and any slights against your character(s) are not a slight against you. Since we are a site with an OOC parent account and an account-per-character rule, we ask that roleplaying only be done on your character accounts, although we do understand mistakes happen in regards to accidentally posting with your parent account.
002. Bullying or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated out of character, this includes both the general boards as well as the discord chat. If you are found with infraction upon this rule, you will receive a warning from staff. Repeat offenders will receive either a temporary or permanent ban depending on the severity. If you are having a problem with another member, please let one of the staff members know.
003. R-rated content is in violation of Proboards' Terms of Service. In addition to this meaning that all NSFW RP must be roleplayed off board in another medium such as Skype or Discord, staff are at complete liberty to delete any posts found violating Proboards TOS. You are not under any circumstances to post pictures or links of pornographic photos or websites, viruses, drug use, spam, pyramid schemes, fraud, other illegal activities or the promotion of racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or any other discriminatory hate.
004. We understand that ICly, there might be sensitive topics as well as swearing. If you do decide to push the envelope in that regard we ask that you post a trigger warning in the topic title.
005. We encourage you to be kind and courteous to everyone, and just use your common sense in what is allowed and disallowed on this board. We encourage everyone to interact with, well, everyone! If there's a new member, say hello! We hope to keep The Pantheon as a safe, healthy, welcoming environment for everyone. Try plotting with those you've never plotted with before, and have fun!
006. We will have an activity check the first week of every month. We require one in-character post per character for them to be kept as "active." After failing to miss an activity check, there is a one-week grace period afterward where an in-character post must be made and staff notified to keep your character account. This is to prevent immediate sniping.
CHARACTER CREATION
001. Characters must be from canon sources. We do not allow original characters at this time. However, we do allow "create your own" protagonists such as Commander Shepard, the main keybearer of KHUX, and the Warden. We also allow silent protagonists such as Link and Frisk. If you have a question about if a character may be allowed to be roleplayed, or regarding two characters applied for at once (e.g. Ash and Pikachu) please feel free to ask staff!
002. We allow characters from all sources including live action. That being said, staff have the right to refuse a series on the grounds of it being too NSFW for Proboards TOS. You may also not apply for real life people. Sorry kids, no Guy Fieri on this board. We also do not allow characters to be applied for from games or other series that are not yet released.
003. To begin with, you may have up to five characters at one time. There are two ways to earn additional slots. The first is earning them through staff run plot events as a reward. The second is for each additional slot, all your characters must have 10 posts and be active in two threads, each a different character. This cap is subject to change depending on demand and activity. Staff also reserve the right to question character hogging if you are only meeting the bare minimum requirements, particularly if you have over five characters. Additionally, you may only have two WIP applications at once.
004. Canon doubles are allowed in certain circumstances but the permission of the original roleplayer must be obtained. Canon doubles should only count for characters that are their own entities or in which there is a clear defining line. For example, Link from Ocarina of Time and Link from Breath of the Wild would count as two separate entities and we would allow both on site so long as permission has been obtained from the original RPer (whoever was apped first.) Canon doubles that appear in-universe together do not need permission from the other RPer (e.g. Young Xehanort and Master Xehanort.) An example of what wouldn't be constituted as a canon double would be a child version of Sora from Kingdom Hearts, as as they are not entities separated by experiences, universe or plot.
005. You may reserve a canon character to apply for. All reservations last one week from the day they are made. You may renew a reservation up to two times. This is to ensure no one is sitting on a character application for too long. Those that post WIP applications without a reservation have one week from the post date to finish them.
006. In series that have multiple disconnected universes (Final Fantasy, Persona, Tales) you may have up to two main characters since chance of interaction is minimal. For series that are continuous, you may have two characters so long as their interactions are minimal, preferably one main and one minor.
007. Please use the provided application on the character creation board for your application. Once it is accepted, please be sure to post in the canons list and the played-by list so that we may update them. Staff are usually pretty on top of it, but sometimes everybody needs a reminder.
008. Since we operate on an account-per-character system, we ask that all profile applications for new characters should be posted from your main/OOC account. Until your profile has been approved, you may not create their corresponding IC account. Only once it has been approved by staff may the account be created. That being said, this means you register as your OOC account.
009. For your character's universe to be put on the multiverse board, we have an application with several requirements based on the popularity of the respective series (determined by the number of hits on Google) as well as a post count requirement. To see the application, CLICK HERE.

IN CHARACTER
001. As it stands we have a 100 word count minimum, although this is subject to change.
002. Time is liquid-- you may have your character be in multiple threads at once. We have a forum for plotters and trackers so you may keep a "timeline" for your threads if you so wish.
003. We asks that in in-character posts you have a basic grasp of proper grammar usage. We welcome all levels of role players here on The Pantheon, but we still ask that your writing be comprehensible. Typos and small errors happen of course, but it will be addressed by staff if it is recurring. Please do not hesitate to reach out and ask for help! Staff and even fellow members are always happy to help out.
004. Please do not powerplay/godmod. We do not limit or cap powers here on The Pantheon, but we ask that you do use them sensibly. If your character is causing destruction at every turn the Gods will step in to put an end to it. Powerplaying constitutes the act of taking too much control of a situation in a roleplay via taking over another character's actions, knowing information the character couldn't possibly know, or abusing a character's own powers too often. In addition to getting a visit from one of the Gods ICly, staff will send a warning.
