FOOTSTEPS IN THE SNOW
The first impressions most people will have of Ysayle physically are "tall and pale." Her hair is silver and hangs to her waist, and her skin is near paper-white - a color that can look downright blue in the right lighting. Among Elezen, she's of fairly average height, but when that average height is 6'3... Well, it's not her fault she looks down on everyone.
(Kidding. Mostly.)
Ysayle is the sort to naturally isolate herself to some degree, and she very much isn't fond of crowds. While she had fairly regular contact with her followers, it was still an isolating form of contact; she was, for all intents and purposes, the leader of a cult of her own design, and as a result stood herself on a very lonely pedestal.
Right now, many of the things she held close in that faith are shaken - not because they are untrue, as is the case for the ripples sent throughout Ishgard. Ysayle is shaken because she is not who she thought she was, in the sense of reincarnation, her soul, and her faith, and because the actions she took for peace only brought destruction. In short: she is shaken by the realization that she is human, and can make mistakes. All she has left is faith in the Mothercrystal itself, and in her friends.
ECHO, ECHO?
As a person chosen by Hydaelyn, Ysayle has the power of the Echo - a useful ability that prevents her mind from being tampered with, among other things. The most relevant to you is that it also causes visions of the past - involuntary, sometimes overwhelming experiences from the perspective of the person who triggers the Echo. Ysayle sees these memories from the first-person perspective and feels some amount of the emotions and physicality of the person she's viewing events through. The visions rarely last longer than a minute or two, and usually appear as just zoning out unless they're especially intense.
This ability runs by OOC consent (as it cannot be controlled ICly). If you're looking to have something about your character known that they might not otherwise talk about, the Echo is a good way to get that started!
RELATIONSHIPS
ROMANCE AND SHIPS: Ysayle has only had one experience with romance of any sort, and it was a complicated, unrequited crush on a dragon who is more orders of magnitude above her in weight than he is in age (and the age difference was somewhere in the thousands). It is not impossible for her to find other love in her life, but she first needs to heal from Hraesvelgr's no-buts rejection of both her and her ideals.
NEGATIVE RELATIONSHIPS: While she is, somewhat, willing to give most people a chance, Ysayle has no tolerance for those who willfully further the cause of war, who harm dragons or their sacred sites (except in self defense), or who disrespect her beliefs. Unlike many of the other Heralds, she has no grudge against those who dirty their hands with unpleasant business in pursuit of their goals (she knows it would be hypocritical), but she cares very much about what those goals are. She also will not stand for the abuse or abandonment of a child.
OTHER RELATIONSHIPS: Ysayle is slow to build friendships, but pretty much will if you stick around her for long enough, unless you manage to make yourself her direct enemy. (Even questionable and annoying allies spur emotions of friendship eventually. Estinien.) She also has the potential to have interesting relationships with other characters of faith.
CAST RELATIONSHIPS: Ysayle doesn't really have many cast relationships outside the environs of Ishgard, and even many of those she knows only by reputation. She's likely to be hesitant around anyone of the Holy See (save Estinien, who she has no problem speaking her mind to) and is only really friendly with the Warrior of Light and Alphinaud outside of that. However, she has a default "friendly" setting towards others who possess the Echo.

TRIGGERS AND STUFF
IC TRIGGERS/OOC SQUICKS: OOCLY, I have squicks about large age gaps in ships, parasites (especially parasitic worms), graphic descriptions/images of internal organs, and a near-phobia of pregnancy. I'm okay with these as long as I'm warned beforehand.
ON FONTS: I have serious difficulty reading light colored fonts, especially at the default size Pantheon uses. Please do not make me highlight to actually read your posts? ;w;
