Born in Tokyo, the young dog had no one in his life. No family and no human owners to take care of him when he was old enough to live on his own, the pup wandered the streets until a white dog named Akame appeared. They offered him a place to live and yet a duty that came with it, they looked a great deal like their young new leader. Having nothing to lose by agreeing, the pup agreed and went with them to Ohu, a place where dogs roamed free in it's forest. Upon arriving, he was surprised about how similiar the two looked, if not for Gin's scar they would've looked like identical brothers. Of course, the issue of the scar was quickly taken care.

Tokimune wasn't the only one to act as a double for the leaders, Akame and John had their own. While the Akame double never gave their name, John's was named Tony. Alas their training required more than their body getting stronger to match the might that the leaders had. They had to be trained mentally to not be themselves, they had to change their personality to be able to fool all those around them. In truth, trying to hide who he was the harder part of the training.

Several years passed with peace in the land however a experiment known as P4 aka Kaibutsu came, killing dogs and humans. It was this that caused the evacuation of the real Gin's mate whom was expecting pups at the time. More time passed and humans started to hunt the dog of Ohu, both due to P4 attacks and a smaller group of dogs attacking trucks with chickens on them to get easier food. In the effort to keep the soliders of Ohu safe, they wouldn't allow any of them near Gajiou to protect them all from the monster Kaibutsu.

While out hunting, Tokimune was with Tony and Akame's double. The three of them had become friends not just due to the real ones being friends but due to spending time together. For when the real Gin and co were there, they had to hide.

Their hunt was interrupted by humans, ordering the others to run the trio along with the smaller group of dogs with them fled. However one by one they were shot down including Akame's double and Tony. Tokimune suffered a bullet to his hind leg though he ended up getting a surprise as he got away from the humans. A pup, one that looked just like him calling him father. Tokimune didn't understand this at all, why was this pup calling him father? Denying the pup's claim, the pain in his leg increased but he tells them to run due to being Kaibutsu's territory. He tries to get away from the pup but they follow after him.

Kaibutsu appears and the pup freezes up in fear, despite his wounded leg. Tokimune acts as a shield for the youngster receiving three claw marks to his side near his hind leg. The pup is still frozen in terror and despite Tokimune's urgering, he refuses to move. Deciding the only way to protect the pup, he shoved them out of the way and ended up in Kaibutsu's fangs. They bite down on him, killing the look alike of Gin as they still tried to order the pup to run.

The force of the bite as well as the location on his body killed him. His body fell to the ground and landed in front of the pup's paws. Tokimune awoke in a strange land, at first there was darkness in the tunnels he came to within. The wounds he received were healed, though the bullet still rests within his leg due to it not being removed upon revival. Knowing full well he was dead yet not with the ancestors of Ohu, Tokimune knew that he would have to help out in this war. But the conflict within his mind arose, should help as Tokimune...or as Gin's double? Was there anything of Tokimune left after years of pushing it down?

Truthfully, the dog doesn't know. For all this time, he has done his best to be Gin. Sharing their ideals for Ohu's paradise, to defend the weak and stand tall in the face of wrong to right it. Tokimune wasn't ever needed before....only Gin's double was. Gin was what was needed...yet, some part of the dog wishes to merely be Tokimune once again. After all, Gin had Ohu to lead as they were alive. Tokimune was dead and yet he knew he was somehow back alive again. A internal conflict this whole situation was indeed.
