Kliff
Sixteen. Gay. Human. Mage.
ABOUT
Kliff is a boy of humble beginnings, reaching out into the world. As a childhood friend of Alm, the appointed leader of the Deliverance, he takes great pride in his work beside him - primarily as another sword at his disposal (figuratively, as Kliff’s talents lie in magic rather than any other weapon).
He takes care to choose his battles carefully, too proud of a person to ever come out anywhere else but on top. Usually quiet, keen and observant, he’s rarely ever taken off guard, but is not immune to the flabbergasting of a teenage boy. Sarcastic and sardonic, Kliff may lay you down with some sick burns, or even just a mild teasing, depending on how he feels.

FRIENDS
He takes little interest in people, aside from those he’s known for many years. At meeting he tends to come off clipped, aloof, unfond of small talk - all of which is true - though in truth, he has trouble connecting with others. His inherent arrogance allows him to anger easily, turning up his nose, but kindness is not wasted on him. He believes in returning favors, though he disguises it as “repaying debts.”
Though he hesitates to call anyone a friend first, he’s often astonished, then flattered, to be called one in return. He may be rough around the edges and difficult to approach, but anyone with enough patience, persistence, and intrigue should be able to befriend him.
In canon he’s childhood friends with Alm, Celica, Tobin, Gray, and Faye. He also reveres Sir Mycen, who taught all of them how to fight.

FOES
He’s not easily broken, but he is easily annoyed. At the present moment, he’s concerned most with returning to his post beside Alm, so the easiest way to make an enemy of him is to purposefully get in the way of that.
He’s unlikely to mingle with Harbingers of Darkness; though he makes no claims to be a hero of any sort, he’s unsettled by their overall agenda, preferring to stay out of it altogether. They strike a resemblance to the Rigelian Empire goons, mostly the Duma Faithful, neither of which he holds a good opinion of.

LOVERS
I headcanon Kliff as homosexual, suffering from an unrequited love that he will never, ever let be known. He knows very well that nothing will ever come of it, and supposes that is best.
It may take much effort to heal his heavy gay heart, but... it’s not impossible! Bear in mind Kliff is underage, however, and would only consider males close in age to him.
If you happen to pick up one of the Echoes boys, or have an interest in Kliff regardless of home universe--hit me up and we can talk about making something happen.♡
