Meet MASTER AQUA, or simply just Aqua, as she rarely uses her formal title. She is a Keyblade Master trained under Master Eraqus alongside her friends Terra and Ventus, but she was the only one of his pupils to attain the Master title and also become the Successor to the Land of Departure. Through odd circumstances involving the differences in passage of time in between realms, she appears twenty years old, but in reality, according to the character files in Dream Drop Distance, it has been twelve years since she was last seen, making her approximately thirty-two.
Aqua has been trapped in the Realm of Darkness for over a decade after an attempt to save Terra from the same fate. The realm has not been kind to her with countless threats of Heartless as well as illusions she's still not sure if her own mind conjured up or if the realm itself did. She has a fair amount of self-loathing for not being able to be as good of a friend she needed to be to Terra or Ven, but despite this clung to enough hope to not be consumed by darkness. Her convictions between light and dark are very strong, and she can be quite judgemental. That being said, she is incredibly compassionate and humble, and is more than willing to help anyone in need. She is selfless to a fault.
Please note that while it was once headcanon there is now more than enough evidence in 0.2 that Aqua suffers from PTSD and depression, and if our thread is set at night there is a possibility she will likely be uneasy and on-edge from the get-go, no matter how friendly your character is.
That being said, she is quite maternal and kind-- she will likely be compassionate by default.

Aqua's dearest friends are Terra and Ven (and I would really enjoy it if someone could RP Ven, wink wink, nudge nudge.)
She is fairly open to making friends, and is quiet and polite. Morally gray/Neutral-aligned characters she may struggle with relationship-wise some point down the road, but that's something she needs approached with.

Although I know it can be popular fanon to have Aqua be sympathetic to villainous plights I highly disagree. Aqua is by far the most judgemental of the protagonist roster and is just as willing to act as judge, jury, and executioner as Eraqus has in the past-- she's teacher's pet for a reason. (If you would like examples, she's the first to jump straight to anger at any Disney villains out of the three, she also just. Straight up marched up to the Tremaines' door, keyblade in hand, with obvious implications she was about to take the three of them down. Girl can be stone cold.) Her time in the Realm of Darkness has only shown her that the darkness has a hold on her too, but she's deeply ashamed of it. I think in certain cases she's more sympathetic (Terra) but even then Aqua has some apprehension about the usage of darkness or dark magic of any kind.
That being said, I do want her to grow and develop as a person here, so maybe if a morally gray character could give her a nice talk, that'd be great. Otherwise more enemies are always fun. Aqua grits her teeth when she's angry and I just picture it and go [good shit meme]

Well she is the... resident Hot Mom™ in KH, so your character is welcome to flirt, but as is the case with Zack asking her out for a date, she will likely not reciprocate and dodge any attempts for a romantic connection. It's not really something on her mind.
